What Type of Email Does Wireless Sync Work With?

Wireless Sync works with the following email platforms to fully synchronize your personal or corporate email.

Personal Email

Wireless Sync works with POP email and IMAP email, the two most prevalent Internet Standard Protocols for email retrieval. Almost all email providers support both.

POP Email
POP3 (Post Office Protocol) email services store your email on a remote web server. POP3 email is commonly what is provided by Internet Service Providers (ISPs). With POP3 users typically view their email on a computer using an email client like Outlook® or Outlook Express.

IMAP Email
IMAP4 (Internet Message Access Protocol) retrieves email from a remote web server similar to POP email. However, IMAP downloads only the message subject and then lets the user choose which emails to download to a PC on a case-by-case basis. IMAP also uses popular email clients like Outlook.
